Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 years as tight-ends within the National Football League. One of America's top tight ends ever, he has the NFL record for most receiving yards among every tight end. Gonzalez is also ranked third in all time for the amount of receptions.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst on FOX studio. Gonzalez was a guest in FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's 1-hour NFL pregame show prior to FOX NFL SUNRISE), which is broadcast each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez was released by the Falcons on the 15th of March 2013 for a contract worth $14 million over two years. This was regardless of the fact that he had claimed that he was going to retire at the close of the season. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, and Gonzalez (37 year old) was the one of the NFL's top receivers.
